NO TIME To Die is the 25th installment of James Bond and hits theaters Thursday, September 30, as Daniel Craig returns for his fifth and final screen appearance as 007.

Previously, the estate was owned by the Bond family of Dorset, a member of which is believed to have inspired the creation of the character.

What is the Domaine de Moigne Combe?

The Moigne Combe estate spans 141 acres of land with several buildings, including the Moigne Combe house, which was built by the Bond family.

The Bond family built the house for their personal use in 1900 and it became their primary residence in 1943 after the Home Office requisitioned their estate in Tyneham for the war effort.

The house itself features ten lake-view bedrooms, a double-height reception hall, a gallery landing, and a formal dining room.

As well as a library, a living room and a separate kitchen wing with a scullery, a pantry, a cellar and rooms for the domestic staff.

There is also a pair of semi-detached three bedroom cottages for rent on the grounds.

The 141 acres of land are located approximately seven miles from Dorchester.

It is about ten minutes drive from the village of Moreton.

What links does the Moigne Combe estate have with James Bond?

A member of the Bond family who previously owned the estate is believed to have inspired 007 creator Ian Fleming when creating the character.

John Bond was an Elizabethan spy whose work was said to have inspired inspiration when Ian Fleming began writing about the character.

In another connection to the famous spy, the motto of the Dorset Bond family is orbis not enough which translates to “the world is not enough”.

This later became the title of a 1999 James Bond film, which starred Pierce Brosnan as Agent 007.

What happened to the Bond family?

Harry Pomeroy Bond was the first Bond who bought the estate in 1985.

In 1943, Ralph and Evelyn Bond moved to Moigne Combe following the requisition of the Tyneham Estate.

The couple had a son named Mark Bond who later joined the military and rose through the ranks to the rank of Major-General.

In 1972, he retired and took over the management of the estate and remained there until his death in 2017.
