Aggravated Assault – Charlie A. Davis, 25, Haynes Street, McKenzie was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and false imprisonment after a domestic incident on May 22 in Florida court.

Constable Mark Boaz filed a report indicating that Davis forced a female companion into his car to drive to her parents’ house in Trezevant. Neighbors reported that the two were fighting. The report says Mr Davis punched the victim in the face and then strangled her to the point where she nearly passed out. She escaped and ran to a nearby convenience store, where Officer Boaz found her and questioned her. The report states that she had markings consistent with her statement.

Driving with a suspended license – Kashif Kalis Bonds, 35, Martin was charged with driving with a suspended license and financial liability violation on May 18.

Constable Justin Brister stopped Bonds’ vehicle on Forrest Avenue after receiving a complaint from a motorist about a reckless driver. Brister’s report indicated that the automobile had mechanical defects that could affect handling. The bonds had neither license nor insurance and were cited in the high court.
