CAFRE Student Recruitment Advisors Liz Simpson and Alan Johnston are preparing for the CAFRE Virtual Open House which will be held live on Facebook every evening from Monday October 4 through Thursday October 7, 2021.

At these events, you will be able to hear firsthand from program managers, current students and staff about what it’s like to study at CAFRE.

“The virtual events were very successful last year and attracted a much larger audience than our usual campus events,” said Deirdre Cooper, Senior Advisor for CAFRE Student Recruitment.

Deirdre continues, “Viewers got to see what it is like to be a student and hear graduates explain how a CAFRE qualification launched their careers in the food industry. “

CAFRE offers courses ranging from Certificate to Honors Degrees in Agriculture, Food, Equine and Horticulture as well as a Master in Commerce for Agribusiness and Rural Business. Classes are available full time, part time as well as work and learning. CAFRE students benefit from “learning by doing” using the superb, convenient and internationally recognized facilities on each of the three campuses. These demonstrate the latest science, technology, innovation and business management techniques for the industry and enable students to learn in first-class facilities in courses taught by highly qualified staff.

Most CAFRE graduates move on to successful and fulfilling careers in the food industry. The results speak for themselves: more than 95% of graduates find a job or go on to higher education within six months of completing their course and 93% would recommend their course to others.

So if you are interested in finding out more about studying at CAFRE and where it might take you, please join the staff at the Virtual Open House. There are seven events covering each of the major areas of study. These will be held on Facebook Live from October 4 to 7, 2021, in the evening.
