The Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET) received a grant from INR 55 Lakh from AICTE for the establishment of the IDEA Lab.

• PIET is one of the 49 institutions in the country to have received the IDEA Lab
• IDEA Lab is an innovative initiative encouraging students to apply the fundamentals of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning-by-doing, and product visualization.

Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) is rewarded with a grant of INR 55 Lakh by AICTE for the establishment of the Idea Lab. The IDEA laboratory will be installed in the cell dedicated to cutting-edge incubation and in the Center of Excellence and Innovation under development at PIET. The institute made a commitment to develop the IDEA Lab into a 20,000 square foot facility, even though the mandate was to have an area of ​​3,000 square feet.

AICTE grants a grant to PIET for the creation of IDEA Lab

The announcement was made during a joint conference / webinar led by AICTE-CBSE. The topic of the webinar was AWARENESS OF ALL THE TECHNICAL EDUCATION OF THE COUNCIL OF INDIA and has been attended by over 10,000 schools across India. The webinar was organized by CBSE in collaboration with AICTE and the innovative cell (MIC) of the Ministry of Education and brought together the following dignitaries

• Dr Mp Poonia, Vice-President, AICTE
• Manoj Ahuja, president, CBSE
• Rajiv Kumar Secretary, AICTE
• Biswajit Shaha, Director (Vocational Education and Training), CBSE

Expressing his joy at the accomplishment, Rakesh Tayal, Vice President of PIET mentioned that “PIET believes in the spirit of Education 4.0 and in a pedagogical / learning approach that focuses on ‘learning beyond the classroom’ rather than ROTE learning. PIET, one of Delhi’s top NCR engineering institutes, has taken the lead in mentoring students interested in setting up their own start-ups; the students are supervised by a small team of experts such as Dr Rajiv Gulati Former director: UNTIL (United Nations Technology Innovation Labs) with the support of the main Indian accelerator, Indian accelerators. PIET’s efforts have also borne fruit as they have been awarded 5 stars by the MHRD and are part of a selected group of 125 institutions across India.

Rakesh Tayal added that “These recognitions are a testament to PIET’s continued efforts to foster innovation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), whether it is PIET’s Start up Incubation Center or Super 30 batch or PKAT.

PIET is also home to Haryana’s largest startup incubation center on campus. In accordance with its mission, this Center for Innovation and Excellence in Entrepreneurship promotes Innovation-Incubation and Emerging Technologies. A startup incubation cell that is the nerve center of the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will not only house Haryana’s largest startup incubation center, but will provide a favorable ecosystem for PIET students to imagine, innovate and create their own start-up. that help fuel the growth of the nation.
